A Very Special Picture # 95 – Grandpa and His Grandchildren – 1964

As far as I know, this is the only picture of Grandpa with his Grandchildren, at least all that he had at the time. (One more was born after his death.) This picture was taken at the home of Biss and Zeke during a summer family gathering just months before he passed away.

On behalf of Grandpa and his family, I would like to wish you blessings during this special time of year, honoring the birth of Jesus. May you make special memories with your family and friends.

Judy, I enjoyed this one a lot. My dad passed away this year and grandpa’s message was just what I needed.

Am I getting this right, grandpa had twenty grandchildren???

I do hope you are having a wonderful Christmas with family and friends.

Mrs P, it’s a perfect message isn’t it? And so like Grandpa to be prepared for Christmas so far in advance.
As for me, it’s belated Christmas greetings as usual.

Actually, Grandpa had 21 grandchildren, one born after he passed away. For quite a few years there were 12 grandchildren living in the Trumbull house. Again, the house was a gathering place for the neighborhood.

Merry Christmas to you and yours, Judy and may the New Year bring you health and happiness!!
