Hilary – I just connected the reflecting pool and the umbrellas to the World’s Fair last weekend. Neither has anything written on the back. It was the photographer’s stamp and date that connected them !! I hope I can find more.

Makes me wonder if Lad was there at the same time…it is a small world after all. 😀

Love this. I’ve got photos of my father at the 1939 World’s Fair. You’re beginning to inspire me to dig through our family photos and letters and share too. It’s a lot to organize; I truly admire you and enjoy your blog.

Karen – I think you will find it well worth the time and effort. I continually learn more and more about my Mom, Dad and Aunts and Uncles, but especially my Grandpa, who I knew (I was 18 when he died) but didn’t REALLY know.
I have found that others, like you, are fascinated by a glimpse into life at a different time – things change so rapidly.

I’ll definitely do it one day. I know my husband is willing to help scan photos and slides, so that will make it easier. The hard part for me will be what to share with the online world and what to keep as family-only.
