Special Picture # 234 – 1947 Christmas in Trumbull

To finish out the year, I’ve decided to post pictures of various Christmas Days that my father, Alfred Peabody Guion (Lad) took. These pictures were taken after the letters ended (when Ced returned from Alaska in October of 1946) so they will not fall into the normal range of the letters. Enjoy.

At this time, Lad and Marian are living in the “Little House”, the house that had been occupied by various couples, the wife helping Grandma Arla with the children and the husband helping with the outside work. Lad and Marian’s third child, a son named Gregory, arrived in August and this is his first Christmas.

These are fun to see. 🙂 It really was nice to see such a closeknit family. You guys are what movies were made of…so many classics made from this model.

Mrs. P. – Thank you. I’m so glad you appreciate what Grandpa’s values mean to me and the rest of his family. Looking forward to sharing more of Grandpa’s wisdom in 2016. 😀
