Army Life – Dear Dad – Quick Note About Car Registration – Sept., 1942

Lad at Camp Santa Anita

Sept. 1, 1942

Dear Dad:

I made no mistake on the date today.

Here is the form filled out more completely. I did not put in the date nor the address.

I am sure that I left the registration in the little compartment under the dash-board at the right. If it is not there I must have given it to you with the papers I filled out for the possibility of a sale. I’m sure it is in either of those two places.

Thanks.

Lad

P.S. I just got the note today. U.S. mail slipped up I guess.

Tomorrow, another letter from Grandpa to his three sons away from home and on Friday, another letter from Lad.

On Saturday and Sunday, more early memories of Trumbull recorded during conversations with Lad (my father) and his siblings.
