Lad and Marian Guion’s Christmas Cards Throughout the Years – 1958

When Valerie, one of my followers, commented on how much she liked the old Christmas cards in a recent post, it led me on a trip down Memory Lane. I was reminded of the photo Christmas cards that were so popular during the 1940’s, 1950’s and 1960’s. I will be posting the Christmas Cards Marian and Lad sent out each year as their children grew up. Some of you will recognize this type of card, they may be unfamiliar to others. Enjoy them each day for the rest of the month.

APG - 1958 Christmas Card

I only found this one card. Mom was into her creative style again and created these candles from an old sheet. Over the years, she must have gone through quite a few old sheets! I was the tallest but I don’t think I was that much taller than Doug and Greg.

Usually, these types of cards had a nice family picture or pictures of the children taken at some point during that year. My Mom seemed to go all out in creating her unique vision for our cards.

Tomorrow, another Christmas Card from Lad and Marian.

Hi Babs, Great to hear from you. I hope you enjoyed Christmas with your family and friends. Do you remember your family either sending out or receiving this type of card? I remember my family getting lots of them every year.
